Yes, the number of tests you can run in parallel on Codeship Pro depends on the AWS instance size you choose. You have full control over the instance performance and will always get the same performance allocated for each build you run. We recommend purchasing larger AWS instances for your account once your projects get bigger so you can parallelize your test suite more to let it run in a fast and efficient way.
